Now playing: The XX - Heart Skipped A Beat
The weather outside is frightful and I'm so glad that my afternoon meeting got cancelled. I just get so lazy when its cold outside or the weather is crappy... and right now, both of those are happening.
Worst part about this is I am about to take about a 3.5 hour roadtrip to Kentucky. So, anytime you want to stop snow, feel free. I'm trusting that my driver will not run us off the road.
I'm really tired... I don't know where that came from since I got decent sleep last night. But today I got to catch up on my shows! Grey's Anatomy and Glee - both great episodes!!
Getting off here to either take a nap, drink coffee, or study. Peace out Columbus.

Note to self: Do not try to eat peanuts, pretzels, and 2 oatmeal cream pies before bedtime. My stomach was killing me from about 8:30am to 2pm. It was awful.
Buffalo Wild Wings Fundraiser today! Hopefully everything worked out. Crossing my fingers...
It's been a long, long day. I'm wrapping this week up (finally) and moving on with life. When I say moving on with life, I mean... watching Jersey Shore in about 5 minutes. I mean, I missed Grey's Anatomy so I have to see at least one of them. That is, if I don't fall asleep on the futon first. Directly after that, I'm heading off to bed.
Short blog. This weekend... KY =Kentucky.

I feel vulnerable and indifferent. Hmph. I need excitement, now.
But doesn't look like I'm going to get that any time soon... I have a fun-filled day of academics and work.
I don't know what happened to my mood. I think it's past my bedtime.

[edit] @ 9:32pm.
Just got back from the World Dance Showcase. Ended up doing the robot and the dougie in front of a crowed taking up the entire Performance Hall. Good time. Minus the fact that I was up against a girl in one of the dance teams... so, I lost. But it was good while it lasted.
Went with my lovely ladies: Sarah & Alicia.
Also, I love how you can see anyone and everyone while sitting at the Union. So great.

Now playing: Freaxxx - Brokencycle
Apparently, screamo music makes me want to blog. Or my friend and roommate just left me for 1:30 classes and now I'm all alone. Andrea pronouncing my blog title: Girl Out Of My Hand?
My womens studies presentation went really well. Just glad that it's over. It was interesting that Lil Wayne's phrase "No Homo" caught the attention of a lot of people in the class. PS. It was a presentation of African American women in the LGBTQ community. I can't remember if I said that before... and I'm too lazy to scroll down.
I've been cramming a ton of information into my brain, mostly about statistics. Now, it's fried. I don't think I can study anymore... I feel overly prepared. Until I get to those word problems... stupid exams. Anyway, still have that and then the World Dance Showcase tonight @ 7. Pumped.

Give it up for my friend, Andrea. We call her cookie monster.

Basically my mom is too good to me and made my friends and I a ton of cookies and cupcakes. There are leftovers. So, if you're reading this and you're hungry, stop by. Although, they may have to be pitched soon... Sad day.
I'm listening to Underoath right now, specifically the song titled A Moment Suspended in Time. It just came on on my iTunes. I can't decide if I want to delete it or not. I like the parts that aren't screaming, but I also don't mind the screaming entirely. This is the stuff I listened to back in the day. Way back. Actually, I would make a great addition to a screamo band. At least, that's what they tell me. They = friends.
I removed my Twitter's posting rights to my Facebook. Now, I tweet a lot more. Guess I didn't want to flood my Facebook with all of my tweets... so if you're desperately wanting to follow me on Twitter, and if you're not already... get at me! @desaraemh.
Today was successful. Dance class was a major work out this morning (yes, more than usual) and I studied all day. My statistics exam is tomorrow evening and I've got to pass with flying colors. Basically, it needs to be an A. Let's hope for that. Also, a big project is due in my morning class but that is all finished. I'm good.
Hockey game @ 10pm. Maroons, it was a tough battle. But I'm proud of you. Basically, that is to you Adam, Dale & John. I don't really know the rest of you... but dear goalie, where were you tonight?

The best part about my day, just happened. I remembered my chase ATM pin, finally. I have been wanting to deposit checks for the longest time... It came to me in my sleep last night. Also, Sarah and I passed out the first BDUBS fundraiser flyer to a random guy in CVS. Happy 21st Birthday! He bought his first 6-pack and we witnessed it. Precious.
Also, note: same outfits (basically)

I really need to work on this outline for this presentation tomorrow... Just touch up a few things. Then, it's bedtime. Toodles.

I hate weekends that feel like they just started and then they're over. That's what this one felt like. It's Sunday night... really? My Sunday has gone a little something like this:
Wake up at 9:16am to my great friend, Andrea, sleeping on my futon. Though she was supposed to be up at 9am... so I decided that we didn't have to get up until 9:30am... Well, then we ended up actually getting up closer to 10:15am. Side note: Her alarm is awful.
One quiz I studied for went surprisingly well. And the other exam I had around 2:30pm went surprisingly well also. So, overall, the day was fairly successful in turns of academics. I mean, accounting really really sucks... but I somehow managed (or so I think/hope) to pull out a decent grade.
Andrea and I returned to Halloran only to study a different subject. Business Management 330 (or business statistics) because that exam is on Tuesday. I didn't even get to celebrate my completion of the accounting exam... Somehow, I'm almost done with the practice problems.
The thing that irks me about that is that my professor does not know how to be consistent. I mean, some problems he has the right answer, then apologizes the next day when they're wrong on the "answer sheet." Some problems he rounds up, others he rounds down (we're supposed to round up). How am I supposed to learn from that? I was trying to avoid the hard professor, but they're apparently both pretty awful.
I ended the night with ice cream from Cold Stone. I got the "That's How I Roll" creation in the Love It size (fatty!). But it was awesome! Cake batter, yellow cake, pecans, cinnamon... the works. Never had it before, and it was a success.
Also, a picture from Mount Formal last night. My friends are great and like to take pictures of me looking like I'm naked. But it was a really great time and nice to actually get up and dance with my Mounties!
[in this photo:] Farfalle Alfredo -- > Get that.
Now, I have a date with my 330 practice problems and then my bed. Can't wait to wake up early tomorrow...

First post.
Blogspot... Kind of like xanga. Back in the day, if you don't remember. I actually just got on mine right before posting this to read it. Wow, it was really entertaining. I wrote so much (and frequently) that I can literally go back in time and read about a day that I went through about 3 years ago. Crazy. I think my favorite post was on December 20, 2008 - "I am officially accepted into The Ohio State University :)"
Today is Saturday. Writing this blog is my time of relaxation today. I guess, the morning started off very relaxing. I got to be with someone who has been making me smile a lot lately and that's always a high point in my day. However, majority of the day consists of studying. Accounting, Womens Studies project, and other various projects are taking up my weekend and most of next week. Well, until Tuesday evening.
For my Womens Studies course, I interviewed an African American woman today is who actively involved in the LGBTQ community. I feel like, from the 44 minute interview, I learned a lot about her. We talked about everything from her childhood to her currently family lifestyle with her partner and children. Some people in my class had doubts that my group would actually find African American women in Columbus, OH but it turns out she is a part of a group called New Leaf Columbus and they have over 200 members, and growing. There's no one, huh? Putting my ignorant classmates aside, I learned a lot from this woman today and could actually relate to her in some ways (that'd be the African American identity).
I'm eating Chex Mix and I really just want the corn chex, but they're all mixed in with everything else. I only eat the pretzels every so often, but if I could have an entire bag of the corn chex only, that'd be awesome. And if they could be 100% healthy for me, that'd be awesome too.
The last event on the agenda today is the Mount Formal. It's called 'Mount Formal' but really you can bring a guest from another school, town, country... and that can get awkward if they don't know anyone. But I'm going the same as I did last year - stag. It's not that I don't have a date, but I don't want a date. I'm going to the Blackwell for dinner with 10 lovely ladies. Shout out: Alyssa, Andrea, Laura, Lauren, Kim, Grace, Nora, Elly, Sarah C., and Kate. So excited, they're all beautiful and we're going to get our dance on (probably with each other, and that's perfect).
I've been so busy at school that I haven't had the chance to go home in almost 2 months. I'm excited to go on a spring break trip with my mom. I can finally spend some quality time with her and some warmer weather. Speaking of which, Ohio, you are teasing us. Yesterday, it was gorgeous. Today, it was chillier. What will tomorrow be? I just want summer weather, badly.
This has been such a random post, and I wouldn't really expect them to get much better in terms of organization. But I am looking forward to this new procrastination technique, so there will definitely be a blog two.
Time to get off here, Facebook for a little longer, maybe peak at my notes, and SUIT UP!
Chow.
